WHO WE ARE
The 4GREEN SPACES Competition is an initiative part of “Green West Bank”, a bilateral cooperation programme with Palestine promoted by ENABEL and financially supported by the Belgian Government for the period 2022-2026 devoted to empowering Palestinian youth in an environmentally sustainable Palestine.
The programme targets climate negative impacts in Palestine, including:
- increased droughts,
- flooding, and
- heat island effects, as well as
- environmental degradation, such as soil and air pollution and biodiversity losses;
Investing in resilient and low-carbon infrastructures is essential to take the path of a green transition and cope with the effects of climate change.
The initiative seek innovative approaches to the Palestinian context and scale-up interesting existing solutions in 4 sectors: eco-buildings, resilient public spaces, and energy.
